Receiving Energy

Last night, I gave a presentation to some local small business owners during a networking meeting about having the right or positive mindset for business and for your life. My experience of the night was one of enjoyment, fun and a sense of giving something back to my local community.

The presentation was interactive and it was quite amazing that I actually received energy from the audience through their participation and comments. The feedback were very positive and by the end of the night, I felt inspired and was full of energy. People were very interested in my book, 'Hoops and Freedom'
and the concept of the 'Hero's Journey' because I had mentioned in my presentation that it applied to every person.

The lesson I received was that when you serve or contribute without expecting anything in return, you will always be pleasantly rewarded. The rewards may be in the form of making new friends, gaining new business opportunities or leads, or simply receiving inspiration to keep doing what you love. I woke up this morning full of energy and I couldn't wait to go on my morning walk.
